The scrap metal industry is part of the broader recycling industry that involves the collection, separation and processing of materials for melting as raw materials to make new steel products. It is a growing industry as this process means that overall environmental impacts, steel smelting costs and energy consumption costs are all reduced when compared to primary metal production.
Primary metal production sources are sourced from iron ore and coal.
We are able to stay ahead of market changes by being in regular contact with many different geographic end user mills.
Our business is a conduit between international buyers of scrap metal and demolition firms who have scrap metal to sell from their own industrial and property rehabilitation projects in Australia. This scrap metal is shipped to steel mills in Asia to be refined/melted and resold.
THC Holding sells to a number of countries across Asia including China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan. We export monthly bulk shipments from our processing yards in Fremante, Western Australia and Port Kembla, NSW.

WHO WE ARE
THC Holding Pty Ltd is a highly successful and profitable Australian company involved in exporting scrap metal for recycling. Our business operates in the recycling industry, obtaining metals and steel from decommissioned and demolished industrial installations and shipping bulk quantities for melting in overseas steel mills.
Started over 35 years ago, T&T Metal Trading was a family business. We have had a long history in metal recycling, supporting local businesses and we are now incorporated as THC Holding since 2011.
As a private company THC Holding is not indentured into long term fixed supply contracts to local mills or overseas customers and are constantly focused on finding the best pricing on the South East Asian spot market.
